Olemisen sietämistä

Vapaapäivä. Kukkia, subwayta, tikkien poisto (miten turha juttu, olishan ne sieltä suusta itsekin saanut revittyä) ja Stockan Herkku. Pahoinvoivan koiran ulkoiluttamista ja työsähköpostien lukua. Downton Abbey, sukaalevy ja Clash of Clans. Spotifyn playlisteja.

Suurien suunnittelua ja yksityiskohtien hiomista. Pientä ikävöintiä. Kirjoja, lehtiä ja hyviä yöunia. Työjuttujen naamioimista kouluhommiksi. Koulujuttujen suunnittelua, mutta silti niiden tekemättä jättämistä. Snapchattia ja sisustushaaveita. Olemisen sietämistä ja siitä nauttimista. Olla tekemättä mitään.

Juuri sellainen vapaapäivä kuin vapaapäivän kuuluu ollakin. Puspus!

Back to the Basics

Jee, kotona ollaan ja jopa laukut on jo purettu. Tultiin siis eilen illalla myöhään kotiin ja loppiaisesta huolimatta sain tänä aamuna havahtua herätyskelloon, koska kotoa puuttui vielä yksi nelijalkainen perheenjäsen. Fiksuina ihmisinä oltiin näin vapaapäivän kunniaksi sovittu, että noudetaan koirat hoitolasta aamuysin jälkeen, joten eipä siinä muu auttanut kuin hypätä raikkaassa pakkasaamussa auton kyytiin ja huristella hakemaan koirat kotiin. Monikkomuodolla viittaan myös äitini russeliin Vinskiin, joka jakoi meidän Vilin kanssa vuokrayksiönsä. Tuliaisina hoitolasta saatiin meidän penalle kennelyskä, joten loppupäivä onkin mennyt siivoillessa koiran yskäoksennuksia, nam nam.

Muutoin pakkaspäivä on mennyt perinteisen loppiaiskaavan mukaan; joulukoristeet on heivattu takaisin arkun uumeniin ja joulukukat vaihtuivat raikkaan tuoksuiseen eukalyptuskimppuun. Aamuinen herätyskin haistatti jetlagille paskat ja valmisteli huomenna alkavaan arkeen, joten bring it on! Mä olen valmis uuteen työvuoteen! Duunisähköpostejakaan ei ollut lukematta kuin kaksi ja puolisataa, kiitos pyhäpäivien, joten kovin montaa tuntia ei niitä kahlatessakaan kulunut.

Joulusta kuitenkin muistutteli vielä muutama avaamaton joulupaketti ja oijoi mitä ihania juttuja miehekkeen kanssa saatiinkaan! Ihana klipsukalenteri varmistaa, että ollaan kartalla päivistä ja suut saa vielä joulun jälkeenkin laittaa makeaksi Fazerin vaniljalakuilla. Edellisen joululahjakirjan (Kari Hotakaisen Henkireikä) sain luettua reissun aikana, joten tälle illalle aion korkata viimeisimmästä paketista paljastuneen Emmi Itärannan Kudottujen kujien kaupungin. Damn Good Advice (for people with talent!) kirja puolestaan tarttui mukaan lähtöpäivänä Urban Outfittersiltä lentokonelukemiseksi. Sopivan lyhyitä ja ytimekkäitä juttuja napsia lentokoneessa nokosten välissä.


Nyt on vähäksi aikaa taas lomat lusittu, joten toivottelenpa siis mahtavia työ- tai opiskeluviikkoja itse kullekin! Meitsi ainakin on ihan täpinöissään kun pääsee töihin kehittelemään taas jotain ihan muuta ja uutta. En tiedä vielä mitä, mutta siistiä siitä tulee joka tapauksessa! :-)

Järkkärikerho

Jes, nyt meikätyttökin kuuluu vihdoinkin niihin, joilla killuu kaulassa järjestelmäkamera! Vaikka kunnon kameran hankinta on ollut mielessä ja puheissa jo vuosikausia, en ole koskaan saanut aikaiseksi sellaista hommata. Tarve on kuitenkin ollut verraten vähäinen, joten satoja euroja en puolittaiselle harrastukselle ole viitsinyt satsata -  kännykkäkameralla on pärjännyt tähän mennessä ihan kivasti. Nyt kun kaveri hommasi itselleen trendikkäämpääkin trendikkäämmän Olympuksen version, sain lunastaa turhaksi jääneen Nikonin itselleni pilkkahintaan. Win-win!

Kameran tulo perheeseen osui mukavasti vapaapäiväni kohdalle, joten olen päässyt kelloon katsomatta räpsimään kamerakaverilla pitkin päivää. Ohjekirjaa en viitsinyt avata (itseasiassa sitä ei mukana tullutkaan, mutta netin syövereistä näkyi aika helposti sellainen löytyvän), joten kuvat on vielä mitä on. Oli kuitenkin mukava fiilistellä kuinka eri tavalla nämä mun lempparimaisemat Tampellassa pääsevät oikeuteensa järkkärin kanssa versus kännykkäkamera. Me likey!

Sunny Easter

Hello there! These few days off were more than welcomed and to all Finns' luck the weather has been awesome! We took a walk to a little harbor nearby. There was not that many sailors in the waters but the most enthusiastic ones were painting their boats for the summer already.

Since I had these free days after so much work I decided to do something as unnecessary as possible, so I drew/painted some Easter eggs. The pictures were a wish of my (25 years old) brother, who maybe wasn't that serious but I took the challenge and painted Clash Of Clans pictures to the eggs. It took some hours and it was worth it! I didn't think anything but how to get the colors right, so it was the best therapy for me. :)

Heipatirallaa! Nää Pääsiäisen vapaapäivät oli kyllä enemmän kuin tervetulleet. Vapaa-ajan lisäksi säät ovat suosineet, niin kuin kaikki muutkin täällä Suomessa varmaan ovat itsekin hoksanneet, mikäli ikkunasta ovat ulos kurkanneet (tai rohkeimmat jopa painuneet pihalle asti kokemaan). Meitsikin kurkkas ja koki. Käytiin auringon rohkaisemana muun muassa tuolla Lapinniemessä katselemassa, miten innokkaimmat veneilijät puunasivat jo paattejaan kesää varten.

Koska vapaapäiviä pitkästä aikaa vietellään, niin ajattelin tehdä ajallani jotain mahdollisimman turhaa. Rupesin sitten pirtelemään/maalailemaan Mignoneita uuteen uskoon. Kuvatoive tuli (25 vuotiaalta) veljeltäni, ja vaikkei hän ollut ehkä ihan tosissaan, niin otin haasteen vastaan ja väkersin kuvitukseksi Clash Of Clans pelin hahmoja. Pari tuntia siinä mukavasti vierähti ja kyllä kannatti! Siinä kun ei muuta ehtinyt miettiä kuin värisävyjen oikeutta, oli se mitä parhainta terapiaa mulle. :)

Flowers, oh flowers!

I flag the easiest way when talking about planting. I choose the biggest and most flourishing flowers from a garden store and stuck them into the pots with some soil. I have no green thumb really, but still my entrance looks good enough. Sure I water the flowers frequently but that's all I do, and at least so far my tactic has worked just fine. The easier the better! To my neighbors I claim with bright eyes that the pretty flowers have something to do with my roots in countryside. ;-) ...just kidding!

This is not the door I use frequently. Just in case you wonder. ;-)

Two Mothers And Two Daughters Makes...

...daughter, mother and grandma of course!

Last weekend my grandpa and grandma came from the north to celebrate the Mother's Day here with me and my mom (we live in the same city). It was great to see them after a long time. We see each other only few times a year, because the distances are so huge. Sure we call each other every week but it is important to see them also physically, because they are very dear to me.

On Sunday we made a long walk with grandparents around the city. I'll post the pictures a little later from that trip. As a Mother's Day coffee bread we had a princess cake and champagne&strawberries.

As a Mother's Day gift grandma got flowers and a water carafe. Mom got a golf course with us next month. It'll be interesting because mom has completed Green Card like hundred years ago, I have never played golf and my brother has played golf only in someones backyard and never got any courses. Fun!

Also the trees gave flowers to all mothers.

 Today is finally warm enough to wear shorts, so this day is going to be a good one! :)



Pot Garden

I should start to plan what plants do I want to my entrance at home. Last year I had a green&pink themed flower arrangement and it worked well with white and grey backround. Here is what it looked like then. The boxwood have lasted until now. It worked also as a christmas tree so money well spend on that one.

The entrance to my home is between two high building so there's not much direct light to flowers, so I have to keep that in mind when choosing the plantings. What I also need to keep in mind is the little helpers who live next door. Last year they made a great work as you can see from the picture underneath. You probably don't believe me when I'm saying that those kids are adorable, but they really are! :)

Home Sweet Home

It's weekend again and I'm home! I took a work trip in the beginning of the week to the city where I have my other shop. After couple nights of sleeping on a couch it was nice to come back home and have a good night sleep. I had the dogs with me and it wasn't just me who was sleeping uneasily. They woke me up around 5am - I'm normally waking around 7am. Luckily it was only the first morning, the next ones went better. Despite that the journey was worth to make.


It was great to see my employees after a long time, too long actually. Sure we phone each other all the time but it's always different to see people face to face. Anyway the training went well and I think everybody got something out of that; employees information about the products and the business practices and me loads of new ideas and energy for the shops. Win-win.

Why I'm living in another city than my employees? I have two shops with my business partner and I'm managing mainly the one that is located at my hometown. The other one is managed logically by the other owner. Simple as that! :)

Now I'm already planning next weeks parties. I'll tell you more about that a little later. ;)

Summer Jacket

Yey, today I got to wear my summer leather jacket first time this year. It was warm and sunny after couple days of raining, so I did not hesitate to take a walk around the city. I also had a lunch on the same trip because this girl loves to dine out. (Btw you can find me nowdays also from Twitter and Instagram. There you can see where I stopped by.)

Last week there was snow all over the place but suddenly I see flowers and butterflies everywhere (at least I saw one of each). The mood of the city is changin along the weather. Today there was markets all around and a lot of people just hanging out and enjoying the sun. I see summer coming, fantastic! :)

At this moment I'm already on the other city for the next weeks work. I'll have a hectic week of training the employees starting tomorrow. Until then I'm gonna take it easy and have some Ben&Jerry's.

A Week Starter

Yesterday I bought some flowers to brighten up my apartment - they did the same thing to me too this morning. It's good to start the week with fresh flowers. Fresh start for the week also.

Last week was a bit exhausting because of a minor water damage. Snow was melting through a building roof and ended up into my shop, so that caused a bit of extra work. Luckily it was solved with just a couple of phone calls. Men from property maintainance came and repaired the roof and fortunately not many items from the shop was ruined. Let's hope this week will be a bit easier in that matter.

Despite the water damage last week was just fine and ended for a relaxing sunday with my two lovely jackrussel terriers and some interior magazines. Yesterday I indeed loaded up some batteries so I'm ready for the week.

The dogs will continue to load the batteries.
